What Is Shagle?

Shagle is a free random video chat site that puts you on camera with one stranger after another, right in the browser. You say whether you are a man, a woman or a couple, press Start Chatting and a partner appears; Next moves you on, and a text mode helps when your camera stays off.

A Shagle video call needs no account: in our test on 29 September 2026, pressing Start went straight to a partner search inside the page, with no form in between. Around the calls it adds interest tags, virtual gifts paid for with tokens and a list of more than 70 countries, and its FAQ says a chat lasts as long as both of you want.

Is Shagle safe? It covers the basics: its rules ban harassment, blackmail and recording people without permission, a Report button sits mid screen, you can block users or turn off your camera and mic at any time, and the service is not open to minors. What it lacks is full oversight: under its terms only limited parts of activity are reviewed, and not every interaction is monitored.

Who Runs Shagle and Whose Terms It Shares

Shagle's terms and privacy policy, both updated on 30 December 2025, name Social Media Ventures LLC of Sheridan, Wyoming, as the operator. Wyoming law applies, and users outside the EEA, Switzerland and the UK must take disputes to individual arbitration and give up class actions. Payments run through SegPay, which bills discreetly.

The same company name appears in the terms of Chatspin, at a different suite number. Compared sentence by sentence on 29 September 2026, Shagle's terms match those of Chatspin, Chatrandom, CamSurf, Camgo, Flingster and DirtyRoulette in about nine sentences out of ten, and one shared clause lets your activity show up on sites run by partners on the same chat platform.

Is Shagle Free? What Premium Adds

Yes for the basic chat, with the choices held back. Random video and text chat cost nothing and need no account, but Shagle's FAQ places gender filters and location filters inside a premium membership, and the chat screen offers guests an upgrade to connect with girls only. The home page still advertises picking a country from more than 70, so check the FAQ before you count on that filter being free.

Prices are harder to pin down. None of the public pages we read on 29 September 2026 lists what Premium costs; the terms say plans, durations and prices are shown at the time of purchase, and the upgrade window in its page code has slots for weekly, monthly and six-month plans and a trial. Tokens can also be bought on their own and spent on virtual gifts, and every token or gift purchase is final.

Some of it is handled well. Payments go through SegPay, so Shagle never stores your card, the charge shows up discreetly on your statement, and SegPay's self-service portal lets you manage the membership. The Report and Block tools and the camera and mic switches are part of the free chat, not the paid one.

What Shagle Captures and Shows About You

Parts of your chats can be captured. The terms say automated systems and human moderators review limited portions of activity, including random chat samples, flagged sessions and metadata, and that random screenshots and short video clips may be collected to improve moderation. The privacy policy repeats that screenshots or short video samples may be taken from random chat sessions.

On AI, the two documents part ways. The terms rule out using those samples for unrelated AI model training, yet the privacy policy allows your information to be studied with machine learning and large language models, and that can mean training those models or passing data to third parties who train them.

Unless you hide it in your account settings, people you meet may see your approximate location, and the safety page lists hiding where you are among the features of an upgraded account. Data is kept for as long as reasonably necessary, and hashed identifiers can outlive a closed account so that banned users cannot sign up again.

There is a fair side too. Shagle says it does not collect precise GPS location, the random chat asks for no personal details, private chat can be switched to an encrypted mode, and the terms say moderation samples will not feed advertising or behavioural profiling.
